London, June 16 (Belta – Anadolu Agency). – Turkish cuisine was presented at the famous food and drink festival “Taste of London” held in London on Wednesday.

The five-day festival, sponsored by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, opened its doors to visitors in the famous Regent’s Park.

GoTürkiye, which has become the destination partner of the festival, has attracted great interest from visitors. Turkish chefs showcase their skills from the GoTürkiye platform.

Arzu Kahraman Yilmaz, Culture and Promotion Adviser at the Turkish Embassy in London, told Anadolu Agency that Turkey participated in the festival for the second time.

“We aim to promote gastronomy as a tourism product all over the world, with the instructions of the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. In this regard, we opened our booth here today.

Noting that Turkish chefs will serve Turkish cuisine to the British for five days in the pavilion, she said Turkish products are being sold in the market set up in the stand.

“On the first day of the festival, one of our Turkish chefs, Pinar Isakoglu, showed some examples of Turkish cuisine at the Fire Pit, the public tasting area of ​​the Taste of London. The British also welcomed it with great interest,” she said.

Brits also love Turkish food stories

Chef Pinar Isakoglu said she has a company in Turkey that offers private chef services.

She cooked “alinazyk” (aubergine puree and grilled meatballs) on the main stage where dishes from all over the world were presented.

Emphasizing that the British loved Alinasik’s story, she said that telling stories about the meals was a lot of interest.

Taste of London will host foodies from 15-19 June as it celebrates its 18th edition this year.
