Oregon Café Expands Rapidly in Tucson with New Stores | subscriber

The Portland, Oregon, coffee chain, which opened its first location in Tucson last fall, is already planning its fourth and fifth stores locally.

Black Rock Coffee Bar opened in October 1821 on E Broadway, near Campbell Street, and has since opened only two locations at 8601 E. Golf Links Road and 2705 E. Valencia Road.

The boutique chain now has a fourth store under construction at 6393 E. Grant Road, near Wilmot Road, and has signed a lease for a fifth store in the currently vacant lot on the northeast corner of Grant Road and First Avenue.

Jerami Price, with Falk, represented the café, and represented Dave Carroll, with Romano Estate, owner, Jagor LLLP, on grant and first lease.

Both new stores in Golf Links and Valencia were sold to investors for $1.5 million each.



With the Black Rock Coffee Bar located at 1821 E. Broadway and two other parking spots, work is in progress on its fourth and fifth localities.

  • Trees R Us rents 3,000 square feet of industrial space at Tucson Industrial Center, 4161 E. Tennessee St. , from Tic Tac Properties LLC. Cintya Denisse represented Angulo Garcia, with Picor, the owner and John Hester Jr., with Goldsmith Real Estate LLC, as the tenant.
  • RestorationHQ, a general contractor for commercial emergency services only, has leased 2,500 square feet at 944 W. Grant Road. The company provides an emergency response to businesses that have experienced water or fire damage or need mold remediation and bio-cleaning services. They were represented by CBRE.
  • Nest Tucson LLC leased 1,250 square feet at 6370 N. Campbell from HRA Paloma Village LP to open a children’s clothing store. The tenant represented Jeremiah Price with the Volk Company.
