Want a delicious breakfast? Stop for a cup of coffee at 628 W. Railroad Ave. In Princeton, off Main Street.
Do you taste Italian food, seafood or steak? I covered the cup of coffee.
How about cravings for sandwiches, salad, or soup? A cup of coffee can satisfy that, too.
Do you want pie or ice cream for dessert? You guessed it, a cup of coffee has that too.
With The Coffee Cup’s extensive menu, anyone in your group should be able to find something to eat.
I went with my family of four on a recent weekday and we all found something we enjoyed.
We started with cheese curds for an appetizer, which were delicious. How can you go wrong with fried cheese dipped in ranch dressing?
One of my kids loves to eat breakfast in restaurants and The Coffee Cup is famous for its breakfast.
The place is crowded most mornings especially on weekends.
With breakfast tasting, my two kids ordered a papa, which included two eggs of any kind, two pieces of breakfast meat (sausage was the choice) and two huge fluffy pancakes.
My youngest child’s dinner was the embodiment of a cup of coffee.
Order the grilled cheese – traditional dinner sandwich with crunchy butter bread. It came with fries, and the meal was complemented by some pancake from his brother’s plate and spaghetti with chicken Parmesan.
Chicken Parm featured grilled chicken breast with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese, with spaghetti and garlic bread.
The sauce was especially delicious for a place that doesn’t specialize in Italian food.
My wife ordered the chicken popcorn salad.
A large bowl of lettuce topped with crunchy pieces of fried chicken, tomatoes, boiled eggs and shredded cheese, with a sweet honey mustard dressing on the side.
We were all satisfied with our choices, and left with full bellies as the portions are not that small in a cup of coffee.
Combined with the large menu that satisfies most customers, the cup of coffee offers a very relaxed and casual atmosphere.
If you’re a local, this is a place where it’s not uncommon to meet someone you know. In fact, during our visit, we bumped into friends.
It’s a great place to bring the kids because it’s casual, and with the usual hum of conversation throughout the restaurant, people probably wouldn’t be upset if they were loud at times.
Another great thing about a cup of coffee is the price.
It can’t be beat.
Three adult entrees, a kids meal, an appetizer and four drinks came out to $50.65 before the tip, and we brought the food home. Note that the restaurant only accepts cash or checks.
If you are looking for an upscale meal in a fine dining restaurant, then The Coffee Cup is not for you. But if you want a quick and tasty meal with many options, The Coffee Cup is your place.
