Round two of the popular Brentfest is scheduled to take place in Crockett Park on Saturday, July 23, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The free outdoor festival will feature live music, a kids’ zone, a variety of sweet and savory food trucks, and a beer garden. The event will continue in rainy or sunny weather, and admission is free. Brentwood Deputy Mayor Nelson Andrews said, “It is absolutely wonderful to be able to celebrate with the community at this family friendly festival.”

Brentfest will start at 5pm with food carts and a kids’ zone, followed by piano jousting at 6pm and Rubiks Groove at 7pm. The event will conclude at 9 pm.

Rhizome Productions of Nashville is beer garden and kids’ zone host again this year. They hosted these Brentfest activities in 2019 and produced beer and other craft food events such as the East Nashville Beer Festival and others across the country. Rhizome owner and operator Matt Leaf said: “We are excited to bring our handcrafted beer back to Brentwood. The community had fun in 2019 for 50 City.The tenth Birthday and we can’t wait to celebrate this summer again! “

Brentwood Police officers will be on the lookout for the consumption of minors. Alcoholic beverages will only be served to those 21 years of age and older who have a valid ID and festival-issued wristband. A variety of beers and hard soft drinks will be served from the Mill Creek Brewery in Nolensville. All beers will be offered in 16-ounce cans for $7 per card/credit cards accepted only. Only credit cards will be accepted. Beer sales will end around 8:30 p.m. Festival attendees will not be permitted to bring alcohol into the park. All festival attendees are encouraged to drink responsibly and to never drink and drive. Lyft will offer discounted rides using the code BRENTFEST.

With temperatures forecast in the 90s, it’s going to be a hot summer’s day, so members of the Brentwood Environmental Advisory Board will provide free ice for those with a reusable bottle. It’s in support of the Council’s “Refill to Reduce Brentwood” campaign launched in 2020 with the goal of reducing plastic pollution. EAB Board Member and Commissioner Susanna MacMillan said: “We will have the popular Sonic ice available in coolers next to the new water refill station north of the stadium in Crockett Park. Board members will be present to shovel the ice and hand out labels/reduce labels. Ice likely won’t last long, So once we’re out, we’ll go out.”

Big attractions for kids will include four inflatable units, including one for toddlers and an 18-foot slide. Children should be supervised in the children’s area. BrentFest is a dog friendly event, but dogs must be leashed and leashed toward the back of the runway. Limited ADA access seats are available in the grandstand.
