Coffee competitions are slowly making a comeback in the United States. Back in April of this year, the 2022 American Coffee Championships took place in Boston and it was a mix of new competitors and those who previously qualified for the national stage of competition all the way in late 2019/early 2020. But in 2023 the full circle of competition will return to Working with pre-events held across the country for all six events: Barista, Brewers Cup, Coffee in Good Spirits, Cup Tasters, Latte Art and Roasters.
Yesterday, the US Coffee Championship announced the host cities and dates for the entire 2023 preliminary event list.
Starting in August of this year, just a month away, these events mark the first time in more than two and a half years since the United States has hosted any preliminary or qualification-level event.
