Hasbro is partnering with the New York Times, owner of the online puzzle game, to create Wordle: the party game.
The new board game is reported to offer “the classic Wordle game, but now in a whole new way,” according to a statement shared with CNN Business reporters.

Senior Vice President and General Manager, Hasbro Gaming Adam Bell He said that the partnership and subsequent brainstorming developed shortly after the game’s spread, and Hasbro noted that players were having just as much fun sharing their scores as they were playing a word game.
“What piqued our interest is … how much fun people have about posting results on social media,” Behl told interviewers. “That’s when we learned there was something special about it.”

According to the report, Biehl is sure Wordle players will love this remake, as the team has remained “as authentic to the Wordle experience as possible because we want to capture what made consumers really interested in the game.” Bell also told interviewees that the team wanted to produce something in keeping with “the quality of what The Times is known for.”
Here’s how it works: For each round, the player who is designated as the Wordle Host, writes a secret word. Just like the original Wordle game, players have six attempts to guess a five-letter word. But in this game, players compete against others. The fewer attempts a player needs, the fewer points he will score. The player with the fewest points at the end of the game wins!
Wordle: the party game It can be played back frequently with Wordle’s built-in dry erase boards and markers. Players can also switch gameplay with four different Wordle modes: Classic, Quick, Timed, or Teams play.
