On July 15, Stewart posted a mouthwatering fruity dessert that she claims is perfect to bring to barbecue night this summer. She posted a photo of the new recipe with the caption, “Are you hosting a barbecue this weekend? This adorable version of a favorite Southern dessert enhances the flavor of bananas by soaking them in homemade vanilla pudding, as well as the traditional slices on all layers. It’s the perfect dessert.” Crowd-satisfying! Get the recipe at link in bio. čôĚ: @bryangardnerphotography”.

The mega Southern dessert is sure to be a hit at any event you bring to it. This easy-to-make dessert requires only a few ingredients like cornstarch, kosher salt, bananas, vanilla wafer-shaped cookies, and pure vanilla extract, to name a few.

Now, the delicious dessert can feed a crowd of 12, perfect for an intimate outdoor event. Begin by mixing sugar, egg yolk, and more basic ingredients in a medium saucepan of your choice. In no time, you’ll be garnishing it with fluffy whipped cream and layers of the previous ingredients listed.

Although the baking does not take long, you will need to refrigerate it for at least a few hours, so it is best to do this either the day before or the morning before the event.
