There are actually a few places around The Burg that serve up craft cocktails, stacked Cuban sandwiches, and Italian fare, but the newly opened EDGE Eatery is a one-stop shop for all three of these indulgences.
Originally scheduled to open in late 2021, the multi-faceted restaurant and lounge celebrates its grand opening Friday, July 15 at 1572 Central Ave. In the center of Saint Petersburg, on the ground floor of the luxury apartment building Fusion 1560.
Although the official grand opening doesn’t take place until next week, the restaurant is currently operating with transitional and flexible hours.
With two different restaurants serving a wide range of dishes, a low-key lounge, a Colombian restaurant specializing in sangria, and a live bar stocked with a variety of beers, wines and spirits – EDGE is located in the newest hotspot in downtown St. Pete. , a total of five new concepts.
Carne D’Vino – which debuted from EDGE Collective last year – plates Italian sandwiches and pizzas, The Cuban Sandwichere specializes in sweet and savory foods in Latin America, while Sangrias in Saint Pete Serving Colombian-inspired foods and drinks.
All three concepts have their own counters in the main dining hall area and often feature different bites in large display boxes, making it easy for customers to peruse throughout.
The fifth concept of EDGE Eatery is a low-key bar with indoor and outdoor seating called The District Lounge, which is located behind the main food court area. ILovetheBurg states that the bar and 40-seat lounge will also serve as an upscale listening room, even hosting live DJs on weekends.
In addition to drinks available for purchase at Sangrias in Saint Pete and The District Lounge, EDGE Eatery operates its own bar that serves a wide range of craft cocktails along with local beers and wines.
The all-new EDGE Eatery – Owned and operated by 305 Hospitality Group, based in Miami – Decorated with modern lighting, elegant green tiles, and a variety of indoor and outdoor seating.
When news of EDGE Eatery first broke last year, popular Asian food truck Shiso Crispy was supposed to open a counter inside the Central Avenue food court, St. Pete Rising at the beginning. Now, the fusion spot, known for its little pies and plates, will open its own bricks and mortar in an unknown location in downtown St. Pete.
Until the grand opening next week, EDGE Restaurant is open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and closed on Mondays.
