Best Fast Food Orders If You Have High Blood Pressure – Don’t Eat This

Some people who have been told they have high blood pressure may feel as if their days of eating delicious food are over – especially if they love fast food.

Because there is a close relationship between diet and blood pressure, it’s a good idea to limit levels of sodium, processed foods, and saturated fats, while incorporating more fiber, whole grains, vegetables, and fruits into your daily diet if you have high blood pressure, also known as high blood pressure.

But that doesn’t mean you should completely limit yourself from the foods you love. It may mean that you need to get a little creative, including for the moments you find yourself at your favorite fast food restaurant.

You might not think of baked potatoes when you think of fast food, but Munker suggests replacing french fries with this lighter, less sodium-dense version of potatoes.

“Baked potatoes are a source of fiber, vitamin C, and potassium. And unlike many other fast food joints that only serve french fries, Wendy’s happily offers a baked version. Top the baked potato with a small dollop of sour cream and some chives for flavor, and you’ve got some chives for flavor, and you have a sweet tooth,” says Maniker. Sodium is one of the main factors associated with diet in high blood pressure, and unfortunately junk food is eaten into it. However, Manker notes that McDonald’s oatmeal is a safer option for those who monitor their blood pressure.

“This oatmeal is relatively low in sodium and contains nutrients that support healthy blood pressure, including magnesium and calcium. Don’t add too much brown sugar and enjoy it with your source of protein and black coffee, and you should be good to go,” says Manker.

Understandably, most people assume they always need to skip the fast food hamburger if they’re watching their blood pressure. And while it’s still a good idea to limit your consumption of these types of foods when possible, Manaker says treating yourself to a regular McDonald’s hamburger from time to time should be perfectly safe.

“McDonald’s has some great burger options to choose from that are big and full of sauces and a variety of toppings. But a simple hamburger can satisfy your burger craving way better for you. One burger that’s not loaded with sodium, has a decent amount of fat, and contains a balanced amount of Satisfying proteins and carbs to keep you full. A side of apple can give you a satisfying crunch without indulging in traditional fried dishes.”

Although many fast foods are loaded with sodium and saturated fat, which can contribute to high blood pressure, many fast food restaurants like Chick-fil-A offer alternatives for those who want something healthy in a quick and easy way. One great option, in particular, is the yogurt parfait.
